SODLAND adult bar : Two SOD representatives arrested
Two SOD representatives, Japan’s most prominent adult video production/distribution company, were arrested for operating an unlicensed entertainment business.
Two men, representative of SOD, a major adult video production company, were arrested for operating an unlicensed entertainment business. The two suspects are suspected of having female employees entertain customers without a license on the third floor of SODLAND, a bar staffed by Japanese adult film actresses in Kabukicho, Tokyo. The third floor, also known as the “Famous Adult Actress Floor,” swings things back to Soft on Demand’s core business with the presence of the company’s major on-screen talent, offering, in SOD’s words, “A space of dreams where you can become friends with famous adult film actresses while drinking” in the Syain Bar.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the bar had 600 cast members, and customers paid between several hundred yen and 5,000 yen to wear aprons and drink alcohol from baby bottles, while female employees played the role of mothers and entertained them.
It is believed that between October 2020 and two years and five months, the business generated approximately 600 million yen. One of the suspects, Sho Iguchi, has admitted to the charges upon questioning.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department plans to file charges against the management company as well.
