Former JAV actress Minami Aizawa is now married!
According to Daily Shincho, former JAV actress Minami Aizawa has tied the knot with a man 20 years older than her.
Minami Aizawa (now DJ pixeL), formerly a well-known Japanese AV actress, recently tied the knot with a prominent figure in the Japanese entertainment industry—Akihiro Suho, the newly appointed president of Burning Production. The 49-year-old’s marriage to Aizawa sent shockwaves through the industry. Even more astonishing is the fact that Aizawa is not only Suho’s fifth wife but was also swiftly elevated to vice president of Burning within weeks of their wedding, sparking significant controversy.
Minami Aizawa debuted as an AV actress in 2016 and quickly rose to stardom, gaining a large fan base until her official retirement in 2023. Following her departure from the industry, she ventured into film and television in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other regions, transitioning into a model and KOL. In November last year, she announced a name change to “DJ pixeL” and launched her career as a DJ with the full backing of Suho Shogo.
On January 11 this year, Minami Aizawa and Shogo Suho officially registered their marriage. After tying the knot, she swiftly entered the management ranks of Burning and was promoted to vice president in a short span. Additionally, she took on directorial roles at the copyright firm “Burning Publishers” and the Okinawa-based “Ryukyu Golf Club” operating company, “Tamagoi Garden,” sparking widespread discussion.
Burning is one of Japan’s most influential entertainment agencies, representing top stars such as Go Hiromi, Uchida Yuki, and Koike Tetsuhei. It was previously helmed by the “King of the Entertainment World,” Suho Ikuo (84), who led the company for over five decades. However, in October last year, he stepped down due to a mild stroke, passing the reins to his eldest son, Suho Shogo, who subsequently implemented significant personnel changes.
However, Suho Akigo’s sudden marriage and rapid promotion to vice president have sparked intense internal skepticism. Industry insiders bluntly questioned: “How can she hold the position of vice president without a single day of company experience? At the very least, she should start from the grassroots level.” Another remarked, “Isn’t this just a way for her to spend money freely?”
In response to external criticism, Suho Akigo clarified in an interview: “I understand that people assume I appointed her as vice president simply because I love her. But in reality, when I had to take over the company temporarily, she was the only family member I could truly rely on.”
He further stressed: “This was not a role she actively sought—I insisted she take it. She is not merely a figurehead; she actively participates in company meetings and is diligently learning business management.” Additionally, he disclosed that he has been estranged from his half-brother, Suho Ryo, for two years, highlighting a significant rift within the family. As a result, he is eager to find a dependable confidant within the company, and Aizawa Minami is the person he trusts most.
“She has never asked me for money and even told me, ‘I don’t need an inheritance.'” Notably, this is not the first time Suho Akigo has had a whirlwind marriage. In the past, he wed older women, a Korean nightclub hostess, and popular photo actress Sugihara Anri—all of which ended in divorce. The industry remains concerned that entrusting such a crucial position to his inexperienced fifth wife could destabilize the company’s foundation.
