Mao Hamasaki announced her retirement
Mao Hamasaki announced her retirement from the JAV industry on her X account.
On the 9th, Mao Hamasaki updated her Twitter account and announced her retirement from the JAV industry.
On the same day, she appeared at an event held in Taiwan and declared, “I’m retiring.” Local Taiwanese media reported that over 1,000 fans gathered at the event, and sobbing could be heard.

Mao Hamasaki debuted in 2012 and gained fans both in Japan and abroad. She has also expanded her activities as a club DJ, performing DJ sets in Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, and Cambodia.
In a post titled “To my fans in Japan who have always supported me,” Hamasaki announced her retirement from acting on Twitter, apologizing for the sudden announcement, saying, “I’m sorry for the sudden surprise!” “Thankfully, I have been allowed to stay in this industry as Hamasaki Mao for 13 years, and I am truly grateful for that,” she said. “But sometimes I thought to myself that maybe it was time for me to retire!” “But every time I met my fans, every time I met the staff during filming, every time I met my close friends with other actresses, I just clung to the idea that I wanted to stay as Hamasaki Mao a little longer!” she explained.
Regarding her future plans, she said, “Honestly, I haven’t really thought much about what I will do after I retire!. Thanks to everyone, I was able to spend 13 dream-like years. Thank you so much!” .
